Shelled is a game I’ve worked on for Joshua Dallman’s RedThumbGames. It’s a very neat and fun 3D arcade game that is not unsimilar to Scorched Earth, only it’s not round-based, features turtle tanks as players and fun ammunition types for the tanks.
If that sounds great to you, it really is. It’s indie dev at its best in my humble opinion - which, of course, can’t be totally impartial as I’m one of the developers.. Anywa, if you want to try and play this great arcade game (either multiplayer if you find someone to play it with you or against the really good bots/bot turtles), you can download it here.
Also, if you’d like to learn how really good games are done or just want to see how we - well, actually mostly Gary Preston - did all this, you can find the whole game source code here!
And last but not least, here are a few screenshots showing some of the beauty of Shelled:
I hope you don’t drool on your keyboard after having seen these awesome ingame screenshots - no post-processing, this is real.
Now go and download the game!
PS: If you want to know what my part in developing Shelled was, check out the “Inside Shelled’s Development” page! (It will be online soon!)
